1 Introduction
Literally, travel means "to pass by riding, or in any manner, to a distant place, or to many places [WU] .
Therefore, travel is about "outdoors", and it is about going from one place to another. The purpose of travel could be sightseeing, but it doesnot have to be.
As more and more people move to big cities, people are farther and farther away from the nature. When was the last time you took a close look at an eagle flying in the sky? or just simply stood by the river and watch fish swimming?

Introduction
Route 66 is often referred to as the Main Street of America, the Mother Road, or the Will Rogers Highway.
It starts from the Grand Park in Chicago, then it winds its way across
Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexicao, Arizona, and California before it reaches its dead-end:
right at the crossing of Santa Monica Boulevard and Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, a beautiful town in suburban Los Angeles.
History
In the year 1926, Henry Ford decided to lower the price of cars, which changed the life of the Americans, and the whole world.
It reboomed people's desire for a better nation-wide highway system, which had almost faded away because of the convenient national
railroad network. People began building...[more ]

Things you'll need when taking your 4x4 onto the dirt roads:
Pump, Upright bicycle pumps are cheaper and are more reliable than cigarette lighter plug in pumps.
Puncture Repair Kit.
A hammer. If wheel rim is bent and the tire doesn't hold air any more, you could bend it back as a last resort.
4x4 Techniques
Rule #1: drive slowly when you are off road, use common sense, and if something seems dangerous, it is dangerous.
If you aren't 100% sure you can avoid a rock, drive over it with the center of you tire. Compression cuts on tire sides kills tires
When to engage 4 wheel drive? In short, never use 4x4 on dry pavement, only used it on loose surfaces, otherwise you might damage your drivetrain. You want to u...[more ]
