2 How to pack? A few things to keep in mind [OP] Pack stuff you might need more often to the outside pockets, you don't wanna unpack everything just to get to your toilet paper. Remember, the first thing you put in is the last thing you take out. Make sure you balance your load, donot place too much weight on one side: "Pack your load top heavy and you will be staring at the ground all day. Pack your load bottom heavy and your shoulder straps will dig into you. Load too heavy to the left or right, and the imbalanced load will hurt your shoulders, hips and feet."[OP] Pack you stuff in the following order: Sleeping bag (and extra clothes): most overnight backpacks come with a separate section for sleeping bag. You could put as much of your clothes in here, just remember you have a pair of socks, rain coat (or poncho), and a warmer jacket or paka within easy reach. The tent, if you backpack has a vertical compartment for tents. If you backpack was designed to put the tent outside, it doesnot matter when you pack the tent. Sleeping pad Cooking stuff, if you have fuel, make sure it's far away from your sleeping stuff: leaking fuel could ruin your tent and sleeping bag. Food Pack first aid, gears, and other little stuff in the exterior pockets. 3 Links http://www.bayareadragon.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=2249 Comments References[OP] http://www.outdoorplaces.com/gear/equipment/packing/index.html
