Quan Zuo (1906-1942) was born into a farmer's family in 1906.
In 1924, Zuo entered Huangpu Military Academy,
AKA, Whampoa Military Academy, Huangpu,
or Whampoa. Between Dec 1925 and 1930, Zuo studied in Zhongshan University (Mosco)
and Frunze Military Academy.
Later, he was Deputy Chief of Staff of the Eighth Route Army and then Chief of Staff.
In May 25th, 1942, Quan Zuo died in a battle in Liao County, Shanxi Province, China.
Later, Liao country was renamed "Zuoquan County" to memorate him.
Quan Zuo was the highest-ranked general from the Eighth Route Army (and the Communist Party
side of the Chinese Army) in the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945).
