The poster showed a Gate Minister for God's Temple stepping over a Japanese 'Ghost'. Gate ministers are traditional Chinese legendary figures known for their supernatual power in fighting evil and keeping bad fortune from houses. In this poster, the traditional Gate Minister for God's Temple was replaced by an American pilot. The title reads 'Happy New Year', and the fine print at the bottom reads 'This US pilot drove the Japanese out of the Chinese sky, Support him' [People] 2 1940s: The Civil War Title reads: We support our own troops.
